During a remedial massage session, you can expect to be asked about your medical history, current physical activity, and areas of concern. You will then be asked to lie on a massage table while your therapist uses various techniques to address your needs. The therapist may use firm pressure, stretching, and other techniques to release muscle tension and improve mobility.
Structural bodywork revolves around the fascia, a connective tissue that encompasses and interconnects every part of our body, from organs and muscles to bones, arteries, veins, and nerves. The goal of structural bodywork is to identify and release postural and movement patterns that contribute to chronic pain, restricted movement, and tension. By addressing these patterns, practitioners help bring the body back into balance, creating more space, awareness, and ease of movement.
While massage therapy predominantly involves the therapist working on the client's body, structural bodywork takes a more collaborative approach. Throughout the session, your posture and movement will be assessed not only at the beginning but also continuously during the treatment. The practitioner will encourage you to actively participate by moving and feeling the work being done, fostering a deeper awareness of your body, its posture, and how it moves. Some parts of the session may be conducted with the client seated rather than lying on a table, and you will be asked to walk or move at various points to integrate the work. You can read more here.
You can choose between 60 and 90 minute sessions. Please reach out via text (0412218598) or email (bec@bodysyncsi.com.au) if you would like to book a 90 minute session
Structural Integration is a process that examines the relationship between bony structures and connective tissues, muscles, and fascia within the body. By identifying areas of restriction and limited range of motion, together we can facilitate change through manual therapy and movement education. The ultimate goal is to achieve a balanced and pain-free body. You can read more here.
Sessions are $115 for 60 minutes and $170 for 90 minutes. You can book here.
